Season Wrap Up

Well, our season is winding down, and we have a lot things to tell you about in this digest!
UPCOMING MEETS:
JO's in Anchorage - Rebekah Green and Haley Sweet-Cushing will be representing the Dolphins at JO's! We wish them tons of luck, and are very proud of them!
Whitehorse - The Whitehorse meet has fallen through...on their end, not ours...so we will not be sending any swimmers to this particular meet. BUT..............read on below!
"Spring Has Sprung" Meet - What is this, you may ask? The Haines Dolphins will be holding our own mini-meet to end our season on a high note! It is FREE to enter, and we greatly encourage the whole team to attend. Here are the details:
Date - Tuesday, April 24, 2012
Time - 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Where - Haines Pool, of course!
I will be at the pool tomorrow, Friday, around 4 p.m. to sign up the kiddos for events. They can each do 4 events and an IM. I will also be there on Monday around 4 p.m. if you miss the Friday sign-ups. It will be a ton of fun, and the kids can end the swim season right!
We will need parent volunteers for timing! Please plan on helping us out!
END OF SEASON PIZZA AND AWARDS PARTY:
We are having our end-of-season pizza party on Wednesday, May 16, at 5 p.m. at Tlingit Park! The Klondike will be making delicious pizzas for us! Yummy! This event is open to all present swim team members and swim lesson kiddos, their parents, and siblings. Please plan on bringing cookies or brownies or some other finger dessert. If the weather turns bad, we will hold the event at the public library. Things to expect at the party:
All swimmers will receive a certificate and medal!
There will be some very special awards given!
Swimathon prizes and awards will be handed out!
We encourage the swim team members to bring a friend and get them to think about joining the team in September when we start the swim season back up!
SWIM TEAM BOARD:
We need board members! Both Rachelle and Ayse are stepping down at the end of this season. Our board is comprised of parent volunteers, and without you, there is no swim team. Please consider helping us out. We have one meeting per month, with a flurry of activity around our Winter Games. KC O'Connor will be serving as interim board president, so please contact her if you have any questions!
LOCKERS:
Please clean out your pool lockers by April 30th! If you want to keep your locker, please arrange to rent it with the pool manager.
